A long-standing Family Day Care Service that aims to provide a nurturing and homelike environment for all children.
MEET EMMA
Established in 2009, my service is founded on the principle that every child deserves a nurturing environment comparable to the warmth and care of home. I believe in providing children with the freedom to explore, play, and grow at their own pace, while also offering engaging and educational experiences to enrich their learning journey.
Outings and excursions are integral to our learning approach, fostering social interactions and community engagement. We prioritize children's interests, abilities, and input this into my programming and planning, ensuring that each experience is tailored to their individual needs.
Our daily routine includes a mix of child-directed play, structured activities, and outings to local parks, play centres, and aged care facilities. We also participate in weekly playgroups and celebrate birthdays with memorable experiences.
Sustainability is embedded into our service practices. We recycle, upcycle, and incorporate eco-friendly practices wherever possible, instilling values of environmental stewardship in our young learners.
I am a proud volunteer at Peth Children's Hospital and winner of the following awards:
- Diploma Qualified and Nominated for Educator of the Year 2018/19/20/21
- Elite Pedagogy Award 2020
QUALIFICATIONS:

OTHER TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Generation Sunsmart member, Safe dog handler, Fire safety trained, Sids sleep trained, Food safety supervisor certificate, Basic infection control (PCH requirement), Hand hygiene- non clinical, Mandatory reporting and child protection, Father and Gender inclusive practice.
UNIQUE EDUCATIONAL FOCUSES AND SKILLS:
Education on embedding sustainable practices into everyday life. We attend and/or host playgroup once a week and enjoy visiting local parks for play and movement. We enjoy non regular excursions each year to the zoo, aqua and visiting Santa.
