I'm a single mother with 2 teenage children who have grown up with FDC. We are a multicultural family, we lived in the UK for many years before moving to Australia in 2011. I have been running my own childcare for 10 years and I'm well known in the community. Before I became a mother I gained some experience working as a nanny in the UK for a few years. I have a small dog (Dachshund) who loves children and is an important member of our family. It is amazing to watch the children creating a bond with animals as well as others.

I use and promote a chemical free household for a few years now, which is essential and important to me as well as demonstrating sustainability as much as possible. Sustainable practices are promoted in my service demonstrating to the children and teaching them the importance of making the right choices. Teaching the children life skills is another area I focus on. It is very rewarding guiding and watching children grow and develop into independent people. I am bilingual myself and welcome the other children to share their language, educating us with their culture as well as language. We love spending time outdoors and go on excursions depending on the children's ages and routines. Toddler Jam is very popular, local playgroups and parks are very much enjoyed. I consider myself organised and intuitive in seeing children for who they are and what they need, helping them grow into strong and confident individuals.
